Mandatory Declaration of Odometer Reading

At the time of motor vehicle ownership transfer, the buyer is required to declare the odometer reading in order to register the vehicle for road use. This requirement targets all automobiles and other vehicles used to carry goods and people, except for new vehicles, motorcycles with a cylinder size of 125 cc or less and scooters.

This requirement has been in effect since September 10, 2001.
