Additional Registration Fee for Large-Cylinder Capacity Vehicles

Is the engine capacity of your vehicle 4 litres* or over? Vehicles from model years 1995 onward equipped with a motor that has a cylinder displacement of 3.95 litres or more become subject to an additional registration fee, payable yearly. This affects:

• passenger vehicle
• commercial vehicle (see "Commercial vehicle" only)
• motor home

Exempt Vehicles

• Vehicle adapted for transporting a wheelchair-bound person
• Minibus for a large family (9 or more people living at the same address)
• Taxicab
• Driving school's vehicle
• Ambulance
• Tow truck
• Bus used to carry school children
• Farm vehicle
• Hearse
