- Passenger vehicle A motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle, moped, scooter or minibus, owned by an individual, that is used primarily for personal purposes and designed to carry up to 9 occupants at a time where this type of transportation does not require a permit from the Commission des transports du Québec.
- Motor home A motor vehicle with a net weight of 3,000 kg or less, designed to serve as permanent self-contained living quarters and owned by an individual.
*(Without prefix) Letters A, B, C, H may be replaced by other letters of the alphabet.

- Consular corps A passenger vehicle used in the province of Québec by an individual who does not hold Canadian citizenship, and who is a consular officer, trade officer from a foreign country or his or her assistant. A passenger vehicle used in Québec as an official car or utility vehicle by a consular post or trade delegation from a foreign country.
- Diplomatic corps A passenger vehicle used in the province of Québec by an individual who does not hold Canadian citizenship, and who is a member of the executive personnel of the International Civil Aviation Organization or representative of a member state of this organization. A passenger vehicle used in Québec as the official car or utility vehicle by the International Civil Aviation Organization or a delegation of a member state of this organization.

A passenger vehicle owned by the holder of a ham radio operator's licence.
