Driver's Licence

Conditions that Can Be Added to a Licence

The conditions that can be added to a licence are mainly related to the holder's health and behaviour with regard to drugs and alcohol. These conditions are requirements the licence holder must comply with when driving a vehicle.

Such conditions appear in the driving record as well as on the driver's licence and remain there as long as the medical or administration reports and information submitted to the SAAQ show that they are necessary to ensure road safety.

A letter is assigned to each condition and indicated on the front of the licence, and a description appears on the back.
