Since January 2006, the School of Physical & Occupational Therapy at McGill University has been offering graduate-level training in screening for at-risk drivers, in assessing driving ability and driver retraining. These training courses are intended to help reduce shortages all across the province of qualified professionals in that area of activity.
The five-course programme consists of:
McGill developed the program on the strength of an agreement with the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec, the Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec and the Constance Lethbridge Rehabilitation Centre.
