What is Excessive Speeding?

You are committing an excessive speeding offence if you exceed the speed limit:

  • by 40 km/h or over in a zone where the speed limit is 60 km/h or less;
  • by 50 km/h or over in a zone where the speed limit is more than 60 km/h and not more than 90 km/h;
  • by 60 km/h or over in a zone where the speed limit is 100 km/h.
