2011 Campaign – Speeding Is Expensive

Speeding is one of the two main causes of road accidents. To raise public awareness about the consequences of speeding, this year, the SAAQ is launching two French-language messages and both a French- and English-language radio ad. The information can be summed up as follows: A speeding offence is expensive, an excessive speeding offence is really expensive, and a second excessive speeding offence is extremely expensive!

“Consequences”
The first message, which lasts 30 seconds, is broadcast on television for the first time this year. Set on location where an offence is committed, it shows the financial consequences of speeding. The wallet takes a hit!

“Unthinkable”
The second message is also new for this year. It lasts 90 seconds and will be posted on the Internet. It shows the consequences, which are even worse, for an offender who is pulled over a second time for an excessive speeding offence. The impact is not only felt in the wallet!

“Interception”
The 30-second radio ads are French- and English-language adaptations of the television commercial.
