On the Road of Dragons

On the Road of DragonsOn the Road of Dragons, Pedestrian and School Bus Safety
Children have to be extra careful on their way to school. Carelessness and distraction can be fatal. To ensure their safety, it's important for them to recognize the dangers of the road and learn safety rules.

Target Group
Kindergarten and cycle one elementary school children ages 5 to 8.

Objective
To help children become aware of pedestrian and school bus hazards on the way to school and to promote pedestrian and school bus safety.

Contents
The On the Road of Dragons educational material includes a cartoon on DVD and teaching guide that has been distributed to schools. The cartoon is divided into two parts: one part focuses on pedestrian safety, the other on school bus safety. The safety themes are introduced by a host who is a bit overwhelmed by the talents of Jeremy and Julie, the two children who accompany him. The dragon is a symbol of what the child must watch out for on the way to school.

The cartoon includes pauses that are designed to allow the instructor to discuss the situations presented with children and to remind them about safety rules. Follow-up activities after showing the cartoon are also proposed.

The DVD and teaching guide are not copyrighted, so they can be copied for educational purposes.

This material is intended for elementary school children only. For information, write us.
