As part of Road Safety Year in 2007, the SAAQ featured this theme in a comprehensive awareness campaign about the consequences of road crashes and the consequences on the families of victims.
Because accidents hurt a lot of people, the SAAQ wanted to remind the public to understand the importance of behaving responsibly on the road.
Consequences of an Accident Due to Impaired Driving
What happens when police officers wake you in the early hours of the morning and ask if you are the father or mother of... What happens if you are young, with your life ahead of you, and in an instant a preventable tragedy changes your life forever?
This third campaign message, which focuses on the consequences of alcohol- or drug-impaired driving, was a reminder that if you're under the influence, don't drive.
